Happy July 4th
We had a great 4th of July. My brother's family was in town and we spent 3 days straight playing, swimming and catching up.
I made two appliqued Ts for my kids. My daughter's has a pin wheel, and I put a rocket on my son's. They were both made with white shirts, and let me tell you that by the end of the day they both had mustard and ketchup stains on them.

Birthday Gifts
My kids have been receiving birthday party invitations right and left. I think we're up to ten so far. All those birthday presents can get pricey when you consider it's usually $10 - $20 per gift. To try and save some dollars, I've started making gifts for my kids to take. I have a large stash of fabrics, so I'm using those to applique t-shirts as gifts. I started off making shirts with the child's initial on the front and age on the back. Then I made a few with the full first name.
This outfit was made for my niece, a initial t-shirt and a matching pair of bandanna pants. Sorry about the poor lighting, I had about 5 minutes to photograph this and get it in the mail.

Katillac Shack
A few months back, I participated in a fundraiser at The Katillac Shack. Everyone that participated was given a bandanna to decorate for their pet. It was a lot of fun and all the proceeds went to a good cause, an animal shelter. We added daisies to our scarf to support Oliver's persuit of Ms. Maggie of Daisy Cottage. Please take a minute to visit the Katillac Shack a view the pictures of the winning scarves.
Have a great day!
